The purpose of this event is to offer family-friendly outdoor fun. They planned for outdoor activities, good food and live entertainment. My responsibility as a volunteer was to prepare signage for the upcoming event. I had to weatherproof some very large painted boards, washed off signs that would be put around the area and helped create designs for the signs. I never knew what certain precautions were taken to prepare for an outdoor event but I learned how to weatherproof different props that were going to be used outside. It was a really fun opportunity to create signage to be used at their event.
